Hilary is also a proud mother of two — a daughter in college and a son in high school — who are her raison d’être and constant source of inspiration.

Why Coaching?

Sorority recruitment is a high-stakes, time-compressed decision environment. Research across education, psychology, and leadership development consistently shows that structured coaching and mentorship significantly improve confidence, communication, and decision-making.

  • Confidence & Performance: Studies in educational and leadership coaching show participants experience 30–40% increases in self-confidence and preparedness after structured coaching programs (International Coaching Federation; Journal of Applied Psychology).
  • Communication & Presence: Coaching focused on self-presentation and interpersonal communication improves perceived confidence and conversational effectiveness, two of the strongest predictors of positive first impressions (Harvard Business Review; Princeton University research on first impressions).
  • Decision-Making Under Pressure: Mentorship and coaching improve clarity and reduce stress in high-pressure environments by strengthening self-trust and emotional regulation (American Psychological Association).
  • Long-Term Impact: Youth and young adults who receive mentoring are more likely to demonstrate leadership behaviors, self-advocacy, and resilience well beyond the initial experience (MENTOR National).

At GreekWise & Co., coaching is not about scripting a personality or manufacturing confidence. It is about preparation that allows authenticity to surface naturally. When students feel prepared, they show up calmer, clearer, and more connected. That presence carries into recruitment week and far beyond.
